Offered by Beckhoff, the EL3443-0010 power and energy measurement terminal has three phases. This terminals design is like that of an EtherCAT terminal. The product has three-channel analog inputs. This devices voltage is measured by connecting the L1, L2, L3, and N terminals directly. The units effective energy and power consumption for each terminal is calculated. Its current for its three phases is fed through simple current transformers. This terminal delivers extended functionality for energy management and mains analysis.

The product deploys XFC technology to transmit the time corresponding to its final zero crossing voltage. This device portrays 5 A and 48 VAC/VDC current ratings. The unit also supports a 24-bit resolution. Its user must follow the warning and safety notices in its manual to avoid property damage and/or personnel injury. This terminal has three current inputs and three voltage inputs. The product also depicts an update interval of one mains period. This device supports single-phase operation. The units terminal point N should be grounded to prevent overvoltages if there is a current transformer fault. Its point N can alternatively be connected with the neutral conductor of the mains supply.

This energy and power measurement terminals L1 to L3 LEDs illuminate in green when its voltage is within the nominal range and in red if the voltage is in the prohibited range. The product operates with six analog/digital converters to record the voltage and current values of all three phases. This device offers the DC time of the last-but-one zero crossing when the basic requirements are satisfied. The unit is not compatible with continuous loads that have a current rating higher than the technical data. Its wiring must be done to ensure that accidental contact is not possible.
