Product Description:
EL3433 is an EtherCAT terminal from Beckhoff Automation. It is designed for power measurement applications. The terminal has 3-channel analog input support for power measurement. Internal current transformers allow measurement of up to 10 Amps input current. This feature helps save costs of external transformers. External bridges on the unit are pre-wired. The EL3433 can perform grid analysis for up to and including the 21st harmonic. Neutral conductor current measurement is available as a standard feature. An internal shunt on the unit enables a direct connection to the neutral conductor for analysis. There are 4 current inputs and 3 voltage inputs on the EL3433 terminal and it supports 3-pahse power measurement technology for AC voltages. The terminal can handle single-ended input signals. Values the terminal can measure include current, voltage, reactive power, apparent power, effective power, energy, and frequency.
The maximum input voltage that the terminal can measure is 500 Volts. The maximum input current that the terminal can measure is 10 Amps. The current resolution is 1 microamp, the voltage resolution is 1 millivolt, and the power resolution is 10 milliwatts. The error or uncertainty associated with the measurement does not exceed 0.5% relative to full scale values or 1% relative to calculated values. Isolation specification for the terminal is 4500 Volts. Current drawn by the E-bus is approximately 200 milliamps. Special features supported by the unit include direct current measurement, single-phase operation, harmonic analysis and current measurement. Weight of this EtherCAT terminal is approximately 100 grams. Its dimensions are 24 x 100 x 68 millimeters. The terminal mounts on 35 mm DIN rails. Adjacent mounting of terminals is supported via double-slot and a key connection.
