EL3403 is an EL EtherCAT Terminals from Beckhoff Automation. It is designed for precise digital input measurements. The terminal supports true RMS measurement procedures which make sure high accuracy. It features three current inputs and three voltage inputs which offer flexibility for various industrial applications. The terminal eliminates the need for external transformers while reduces costs and simplifying system integration.

The EL3403 terminal maintains a resolution standard of 1 µA for current 0.1 mV for voltage and 10 mW for power. It can measure voltage up to 500 V AC and current up to 1 A (AC) using measuring transformers. The terminal measurement uncertainty is kept within 0.5% relative to full scale values for voltage and current and 1% for calculated values which ensures reliable data. It provides electrical isolation of 1500 V and increases safety in high voltage environments. The EL3403 terminal draws approximately 120 mA of current from the E-bus which makes it efficient in terms of power consumption. Its stripping length for wiring is between 8 and 9 mm which ensures easy and secure connections. The terminal is constructed from durable polycarbonate and weighs only 75 grams. It offers mains synchronous conversion time and net synchronous update time that enable smooth data transmission in real time applications.
