Product Description:

The Beckhoff EL3356 represents an EL EtherCAT Terminal that provides high precision for industrial requirements.

The full bridge technology within its dual-input functionality allows it to precisely measure strain gauges or load cells. The E-bus provides a power supply to enable an efficient integration process when working within EtherCAT systems. This terminal can measure bridge voltages from ±27 mV to ±13.8 V simultaneously, catering to a wide range of applications through its supply voltage measuring range. The terminal exhibits more than 200 kΩ internal resistance for U_REF alongside 1 MΩ or greater resistance for U_D to reduce signal disturbances during measurements. The EL3356 functions best when operated in nominal sensitivity ranges from 0.5 to 4 mV/V with parameter resolution set at 0.01 µV/V to achieve precise measurements. The terminal contains a low-pass input filter that sets the limit frequency to 10 kHz to reduce high-frequency noise that may impact accuracy. Despite different needs, the terminal provides a conversion rate adjustment of 100 to 4 samples per second, which corresponds to a conversion time range between 10 to 250 ms. A 32-bit presentation supports a 16-bit resolution that enables the terminal to record measurement details with high precision.

The measurement error level remains low because the calculated load value shows maximum deviations under ±0.01% in this measurement process. The E-bus uses 210 mA of current reliably as a power-saving measure for extended operation periods. It operates between -25°C to +55°C, which provides broad industrial environment compatibility. This device weighs approximately 60 grams, making it convenient for incorporation into control systems. The terminal maintains an input impedance of more than 100 MΩ to avoid impacting measured signals and delivers precision measurements through its differential output design, which reduces environmental noise.
