Product Description:
The EL3255 EtherCAT Terminal enables immediate potentiometer assessment in its intended application. It is designed by Beckhoff for industrial automation. It requires a power supply of 10 V while accepting a power tolerance of within ±10 percent. A maximum of 0.3 A flows as the potentiometer supply current. The selected parameters determine the conversion time span, which adjusts between 300 and 700 microseconds.
The EL3255 EtherCAT Terminal enables 16-bit data processing with the sign bit enabled to execute precise signal evaluation. The terminal uses simultaneous channel sampling, which ensures accurate measurement performance. The measurement deviation shows a ±0.5 percent deviation from all measurement points. The input filter has a -3 dB amplitude bandwidth that extends to 3 kHz frequency as designed for 50 kΩ impedance sensors. The E-bus requires at least 500V electric separation from field voltage. The EL3255 EtherCAT Terminal demands an operating power of 80 mA. Sensor signal requirements determine the power contact usage to be 70 mA. The terminal includes active filtering features for signal refinement. Distributed Clocks technology allows the network to maintain its precise timing systems. The data structure of process data mapping supports message transfer by using five 16-bit components. Users can easily connect solid wires to the E-bus terminal through a plug-in system.
According to EN 60715 standards, the EL3255 EtherCAT Terminal should be installed on a 35 mm DIN rail. The device presents itself as a 70 g weighing instrument, which has dimensions of 100mm x 70mm and 15mm. The E-bus terminal creates an IP20 safety rating to protect devices in various environments. The sensor function works between -25 °C to +60 °C, but the storage function operates in the temperature range of -40 °C to +85 °C.
