Product Description:

The Beckhoff EL3218 is an EtherCAT Terminal that provides high-level signal acquisition for analog signals and is a part of the EL EtherCAT Terminal series. The 8 analog voltage inputs are used in this device, and it can work with the voltage ranging from 0 V to 10 V; at the same time, it offers a resolution of 16 bits. The terminal has an input impedance of over 100 k? to minimize the disturbance of data input. It has single-ended inputs and is therefore highly suitable for use in cases where voltage measurements are crucial for the performance of a circuit.

Another advantage of this terminal model is that it is equipped with a multiplex conversion feature, which helps in improving the overall efficiency of the systems while managing multiple channels of input signals. The device is designed to work at an ambient temperature of 0 degrees Celsius to 55 degrees Celsius, which enables this device to work in various industries. It also consists of two LEDs for every input channel to assist the technician in identifying a specific problem affecting the signals or the system. It works with a constant power consumption of about 120 mA using the K-bus to provide high performance.

The EL3218 is 15 mm x 100 mm x 70 mm in size and is provided with DIN rail terminals to facilitate easy fixing into standard control cubicles. Moreover, the terminal complies with the CE and UL standards, which makes the Beckhoff EL3218 terminal a highly reliable and perfectly suited for industrial automation systems that need precise and accurate measurement of analog voltage signals, as well as seamless connection to EtherCAT networks.
