The EL3214-0090 is an Analog input terminal from Beckhoff that is used to connect resistance sensors directly to systems that control things. Beckhoff is known for its automation technology and EtherCAT solutions, which make it easy to connect field devices in a way that works well and is adjustable.
The EL3214-0090 analog input terminal features 4 analog input channels that enable the connection of sensors such as the Pt100, Pt200, Pt500, Pt1000, Ni100, Ni120, Ni1000, and KTY types. Additionally, resistance devices such as potentiometers with a range of 10 Ω to 1.2/4 kΩ may be connected. The terminal works with both two-wire and three-wire connections, but three-wire is the usual setting. The current measure is less than 0.5 mA and depends on the load. The conversion time is about 170 ms per channel. Ni sensors can measure from -60°C to +250°C and Pt sensors from -200°C to +850°C. The precision of each digit is 0.1°C. When Pt sensors are configured in a 4 x 3 layout, the temperature deviation is less than 0.5°C. Ensures the device operates safely by providing 500 V of electrical separation between the signal voltage and the E-bus at the input terminal. TwinSAFE SC technology, an integrated digital filter, limit value tracking, and variable connection technology for flexible installation are some of the other features.
The EL3214-0090 input terminal is protected by a high-density polycarbonate case that has signal LEDs that show the state.
