This Beckhoff’s product EL3210 EtherCAT Terminal is a compact dual-channel analog input module which is ideal for industrial automation applications needing accurate voltage measurements. This EL3210 EtherCAT Terminal provides a ±10 V input range with high precision by making it a reliable choice for sensitive measurements. This module supports two differential inputs and offers 16-bit resolution. Its power is supplied via E-bus with a typical current consumption of around 170 mA. Its conversion time is approximately 60 µs in standard mode and it can achieve even faster measurements (~40 µs) in fast mode. This enables quick response times by making it suitable for real-time applications. This EL EtherCAT terminal module includes distributed clocks with a precision of less than 1 µs for networked systems. It also has a high internal resistance of over 200 kohms which ensures minimal interference with connected systems. The terminal’s common-mode voltage can reach up to 35 V relative to the internal ground and the input filter limits frequency to 5 kHz for signal clarity. Its polycarbonate housing is compact (12 mm wide) and fits on a 35 mm DIN rail.
