Product Description:
The Beckhoff EL3208-0010 is an 8 channel EL series analog input terminal which has been designed and built with temperature and resistance measurement controls. It accommodates a large variety of sensors including RTD (Pt100, Pt1000), NTC, KTY sensors and potentiometers offering an enhanced usage versatility that is applicable in monitoring and control. The resolution of the terminal is 16bit making it easy to carry out signal processing making it appropriate for industrial sectors where accurate measurements are required.
The terminal has an error of measurement of the values less than 0.1%, therefore data collection is reliable. Its sampling frequency can be in the range of between 0.1 and one kilohertz, and the conversion time of the sample can be anywhere between less than ten ms to one ms making it possible to sample the data externally in real time. The single-ended input makes it simple to wire containing sufficient units/configuration, whilst the direct plug-in/push-in connection design makes it very easy to install in a safe manner.
The EL3208-0010 is capable of measuring resistance from 1–10 kΩ to less than 1 kΩ, while it can measure potentiometer: 0-100%. It is ATEX Zone 2 and IECEx approved meaning it is safe to use in areas with risk of explosions caused by gases. However, it is not intrinsically safe and should be applied with the appropriate risk mitigation measures incorporated where there are potentially unsafe areas. The terminal is also CE mark and UL mark approved meaning it adheres to international health and safety and performance regulation standards within a sector. Both the temperature sensing resistance and the integrated terminal based on a precision instrumentation amplifier may be used for the EL3208-0010
