The Beckhoff EL3208 EtherCAT Terminal contains 8 incremental sensor inputs to connect multiple sensor devices at once.

E-bus power provides the terminal with its operational power as it integrates itself efficiently into EtherCAT systems. This EL3208 system enables sensor connection for Pt100, Pt200, Pt500, Pt1000, Ni100, Ni120, Ni1000, resistance measurements and KTY sensors. The terminal adaptability suits diverse temperature measurement applications because of its flexible design functions. Installation becomes simple because a 2-wire connection enables compatibility with typical industrial sensors. The Pt sensors cover measurement temperatures between -200°C to +850°C, whereas Ni sensors operate between -60°C to +250°C to enable temperature measurements across a wide range. The measuring current of the terminal reaches less than 0.5 mA based on load conditions to reduce power usage without affecting measurement precision. The measurement precision reaches 0.1°C per digit, which makes this device appropriate for essential temperature control operations. The reliability of measured temperatures from the terminal depends on its Pt sensor measurement error of ±0.5°C, which provides readings within this specific tolerance range.
