Product Description:

The EL EtherCAT Terminals series from Beckhoff provides the EL3201 Terminal as a specialized instrument for temperature measurement accuracy. It provides one input channel compatible with resistance temperature sensors for industrial automation. This terminal enables accurate signal processing due to its 0.1 °C per digit resolution capability.

The conversion time EL3201 terminal is approximately 24 ms and can be configured between 4 and 500 ms.  The terminal maintains a current reading lower than 0.5 mA regardless of the connected equipment. The accuracy level of Pt sensors measured through this device remains under ±0.5 °C, which produces trustworthy results. The frequency limit set by the input filter operates at 1 kHz as a standard for data acquisition stability. With its E-bus and signal voltage separation capability, the EL3201 terminal reaches 500-volt insulation. Higher E-bus power intake reaches 190 mA when the system operates actively. This EL3201 terminal maintains effective operation between -25 to +60 °C temperature values. The device stores within operational temperatures ranging from -40 to +85 °C. The product shows resistance against humidity levels reaching 95% when the conditions are non-condensing. The testing standard assigned the protected status of IP20 to this unit. The EL EtherCAT Terminals function best in stable industrial temperature measurement applications.

The EL3201 terminal incorporates a space-saving housing which includes signal LEDs that show status information. The terminal's overall dimensions extend to 12 mm in width and 100 mm in height, together with 68 mm in depth. The terminal can be installed on the 35 mm DIN rail per EN 60715 specifications, utilizing a dependable locking mechanism. The supported wiring system encompasses both rigid and elastic wires ranging from 0.08 mm² to 2.5 mm². Ferrule connections range from 0.14 mm² to 1.5 mm². Power contacts of the device can manage a 10 A current maximum. However, the wiring should receive 8 to 9 mm stripping to function properly.
