Product Description:
EL3161 is an EtherCAT terminal with one analog input channel. The terminal accepts input voltages ranging from 0 to 10 Volts and digitizes. The terminal transmits the digitized information to automation devices operating at a higher level. The terminal uses reference ground for common ground. LEDs indicate signal state of the terminal. Power supply for the device is supplied through the E-bus. Distributed clocks are supported by the device. Internal resistance of the input channel is greater than 200 kiloohms. Limit frequency for the input filter is 5 kilohertz. The dielectric strength maxes out at 30 Volts. Time taken by the EL3161 terminal to convert analog input to digital signals is approximately 35 microseconds. Including the sign bit, the terminal converts signals at 16-bit resolution.
The measurement error or uncertainty is limited to ±0.3%. Special features available on the EL3161 terminal include IIR and FIR filters, compact/standard process image, and monitoring of limit values. The E-bus draws typically 130 milliamps. For safe operation, the module provides 500 Volts electrical isolation between the signal voltage and the E-bus. Weight of the EtherCAT terminal is approximately 60 grams. Its housing is made of polycarbonate and installs on DIN rails that are EN 60715 compliant. Dimensions of the DIN rail must be 35 millimeters.
