The EL3111 EtherCAT Terminal is a compact input unit that can be used to measure current with high precision. The unit supports analog input signals of 0 to 20 mA and 4 to 20 mA and can therefore be combined with the measurements based on conventional current sensors. The terminal provides a single channel of high-precision 16-bit converter with high detail information for use in control and monitoring functions.
Conversion time is 1 ms or less, giving real-time response and immediate signal update in high-speed applications. It offers software-programmable filtering on inputs to allow users to control the smoothing of the signal based on application sensitivity.
