Product Description:

The EL3111 EtherCAT Terminal is a compact input unit that can be used to measure current with high precision. The unit supports analog input signals of 0 to 20 mA and 4 to 20 mA and can therefore be combined with the measurements based on conventional current sensors. The terminal provides a single channel of high-precision 16-bit converter with high detail information for use in control and monitoring functions.

Conversion time is 1 ms or less, giving real-time response and immediate signal update in high-speed applications. It offers software-programmable filtering on inputs to allow users to control the smoothing of the signal based on application sensitivity. Either for noisy process loops or stable process loops, the filter can be constructed to exhibit the best of signal processing. The EL3111 also includes onboard diagnostics for wire break and short-circuiting, which aids in safety and openness in systems. The diagnostics notify operators about errors in real-time, reducing downtime and preventing erroneous data from interfering with system functioning. This terminal is back-compatible with other EtherCAT products and provides synchronous data acquisition over multiple channels.
