Product Description:

Beckhoff's EL3101 Analog input terminal is ideal for accurate voltage measurement and signal capture in industrial automation. The input terminal provides reliable analog-to-digital conversion for automation operations and interacts readily with EtherCAT systems.

The EL3101 analog input terminal can receive signals between -10 V and +10 V through its single differential input channel. With electrical isolation, the input signal, which includes the sign, is digitized at a resolution of 16 bits and sent to the linked automation controller. With an input filter limit frequency of 5 kHz and a conversion time of about 40 microseconds, the terminal can withstand a common-mode voltage of 35 V in relation to its internal ground and typically consumes 130 mA from the E-bus. With a measurement error or uncertainty below ±0.3% of the full-scale value, the signal acquisition is guaranteed to be accurate. There is 500 V of electrical isolation between the E-bus and the signal voltage. The four bytes of input data are represented in the process image by the input terminal, which is powered by the E-bus. Terminal features like configurable process picture formats, data representation, activatable FIR/IIR filters, and integrated limit value monitoring make it more useful. If you need exact time synchronization across your EtherCAT network, you can use distributed clocks.

With its 35 mm DIN rail compatibility and ability to function in settings with up to 95% relative humidity without condensation, the EL3101 terminal is an ideal choice for any installation. A double slot and key connection allow for side-by-side mounting, and the small enclosure has signal LEDs to indicate status. With its comprehensive filtering and monitoring functions, the input terminal can switch between conventional and compact process images, giving it the flexibility to meet demanding measurement and control requirements.
