The Beckhoff EL3064-0018 is an EtherCAT terminal equipped with four single-ended measuring inputs with a capacity of 0-10 V and is applicable for use as a part of EL EtherCAT Terminal Series for kinds of industrial automation tasks. For every input, the internal resistance is higher than 130 kΩ so as not to overload any circuits. The terminal also supports activatable FIR/IIR filters for more effective signal processing with the possibility of limit value monitoring, which makes it precise for control and measurement tasks.
Default conversion time is 0.625 ms with multiplexing which can be altered in accordance to certain needs. It gives 12 bits resolution (inside 16 bits presentation which includes sign), while quite reliable, never misses more than 0.3% error regarding the full scale value. The terminal requires a current of 130 mA from the E-bus and sends 16 bytes worth of input data within the process image. Consequently, there is no trouble when integrating it into EtherCAT networks.
