Product Description:
The Beckhoff EL3044 is a very reliable analog input terminal specially designed for accurate industrial automation data measurement. Four single ended analog current input channels are provided on the EL3044, with signal range of 0 to 20 mA, as part of Beckhoff's EL series of EtherCAT Terminals. The major advantage of the system is that it is fully EtherCAT compatible, that is it can be seamlessly integrated within an EtherCAT based control architecture and provides efficient data acquisition, high precision and real time communication performance for modern industrial systems.
The EL3044 has a resolution of 12 bits (16 bits with sign) in each channel for accurate interpretation of analog signals in high noise industrial environments. The terminal features an internal resistance of about 85 ohms and a dielectric strength of up to 30 V to ensure the measurement fidelity and to protect the terminal from voltage surges or voltage variations of the input signal. The terminal operates in a default conversion time of 0.625 ms per channel and the conversion process is multiplexed for ease of processing. With a fast conversion rate and a signal bandwidth limit of 1 kHz, the EL3044 is ideal to use in high speed monitoring applications such as process control, sensor acquisition and energy management systems.
It is powered directly from the EtherCAT E-bus and draws about 130 mA, thereby reducing wiring and system complexity.
