Product Description:
The Beckhoff EL2912-2200 is a two-channel digital output terminal from the EL EtherCAT Terminal Series and is used for high safety-critical areas which have been integrated with the TwinSAFE protocol. It has a maximum of 24 V DC working voltage, and each output channel has a maximum load current of 2A which can be used to drive actuators and inputs that require safe and reliable on/off switching. This terminal device is compliant with standards EN ISO 13849-1:2015 (Category 4, PL e) and EN 61508:2010 (SIL 3) and thus satisfies highest safety standards. The response time as well as the fault reaction time can be programmed which helps to detect errors and recover from them efficiently.
The EL2912-2200, which weighs about 55 g, has a size of 12 mm x 100 mm x 68 mm and is made of polycarbonate. The EL2912-2200 has a protection degree of IP20 and is designed for controlled environments and is capable of horizontal mounting. The terminal accepts wiring via 1-/2-wire connection technology. It draws 200mA from the E-bus which means it is energy efficient and allows for accurate control of connected loads via its two independent outputs ensuring safe performances of the systems.
