The EL2878-0005 is a state-of-the-art automation EtherCAT terminal that features a very compact housing unit with eight connection channels and valve terminals, which are compatible with a multi-pin plug connection. This product operates with a flat ribbon connection cable, which fits in perfectly with pin contact strips to ensure a secure connection. This connection technology significantly simplifies the wiring of many channels and the EtherCAT terminal. The EL2878-0005 EtherCAT terminal can comfortably monitor the supply voltage coming into the product and communicate the connection status through the process image and the Light Emitting Diodes present on its housing unit. There are about eight LEDs in total for this product. Customers can connect ohmic, inductive, and lamp load to this product without any problem; also, the rated load voltage is about 24 volts.
The EL2878-0005 does not feature any distributed clocks; however, it features reverse voltage protection and short circuit protection during operation.
