Product Description:

The EL2819 EtherCAT Terminal offers 16 sourcing digital outputs. It is made by Beckhoff for industrial automation. Each channel functions with a PNP-type configuration. The terminal functions at a rated voltage of 24 V DC. It takes input voltage between 20.4 V and 28.8 V DC. Each channel offers a max output current of 0.5 A.

The cumulative current of EL2819 EtherCAT Terminal for all the channels is limited to 4 A. Short-circuit protection on each output is provided. The short-circuit current does not exceed 1 A per channel. Switching operations are available at up to 1 kHz for resistive loads. Turn-on time is the same or shorter than 100 µs. Turn-off time is no more than 500 µs. Protection against reverse polarity is offered in the supply input. E-bus power supply is generally 90 mA. The EL2819 EtherCAT Terminal is resistive, lamp-type, and inductive load supported. The output data has 2 bytes in the process image. Diagnostics include the detection of short circuits and overloads. It also provides open load recognition and an overtemperature alert. Individual status LEDs are provided for each output. Green signifies an active output signal. Red indicates overload or error. Flashing red indicates a short to the 24 V supply. Alternating red and green signals indicate an open load.

Spring-clamp EL2819 EtherCAT Terminal facilitates quick one-wire connections per channel. Solid wires 0.08 mm² to 1.5 mm² are accepted. Stranded wires 0.25 mm² to 1.5 mm² are accepted. Wires with ferrules can be 0.14 mm² to 0.75 mm². The terminal can work between 0 °C and +55 °C. The temperature range during storage is -25 °C to +85 °C. The terminal protection class rating is IP20. Field and EtherCAT sides feature 500 V electrical isolation. Process data is handled in a 16-bit format.
