Product Description:

The model EL2652 , functions as an EtherCAT terminal and is used to control and switch external devices or circuits by electrically isolating and managing high-voltage AC or DC loads. It is made by Beckhoff firm which has set an impressive standard in industrial electronics.

The EL2652 terminal functions as a compact relay output module and supports two change-over contacts by making it suitable for circuits up to 250 V AC and 300 V DC. It works with a nominal voltage of 230 V AC by maintaining switching behavior across applications where signal separation and secure electrical isolation are needed. Its relay contacts support a maximum ohmic switching current of 3 A at 30 V DC and 1 A at 40 V DC while at the upper DC range of 300 V the contact rating drops to 0.15 A. For UL-compliant applications, the module can handle a maximum of 1 A at 230 V AC. The EL EtherCAT series terminal ensures the longevity of at least five million cycles and one million electrical cycles under standard conditions. It also contains reverse switching that can be implemented in different industrial automation.

The EL2652 terminal’s electrical insulation ensures a separation between the E-bus and field side with a test voltage of 1.5 kV and rated surge protection up to 2.5 kV by aligning with overvoltage category III requirements. It carries only 55g in weight and has efficient integration into control cabinets. The module is optimized for domains with relative humidity up to 95% at non-condensing is present. The current drawn from the E-bus is 180mA with no draw from power contacts by making it durable in terms of internal bus power usage.
