From the EL EtherCAT Terminal Series, the Beckhoff EL2622-0000 is a multi-purpose relay output terminal used to switch loads consisting of ohmic, inductive, or lamp load. It consists of two make contacts which can switch 5 A AC/DC. These are all the general applications in the mechanical switching in industrial environments.
This terminal is designed to work at nominal AC & DC voltage of 230 V and 30 V respectively. The channel’s ohmic current has a standard 5 A rating, and the channel’s inductive current has a limit of 2 A per channel to enable stability loads with reactions. Other features include up to 4 x 58 W electronic ballasts for lamp load and lighting control applications. A minimum load of 10 mA at 5 V DC assures operational switching of small circuits. The mounted EL2622-0000 modules are compatible with EtherCAT networks and communicate links to the E-bus that withdraws 170 mA from the EtherCAT bus. In regard to the mechanical lifecycle, one is able to run a relay over 20 million times while the electric one can withstand 100 000 cycles at 5 A/30 V. The compact modules have a weight of approximately 50 grammes enabling installation in systems requiring low weight.
The terminal functions normally for temperatures above 0°C and under +55°C. It is built and can withstand ambient temperature from -25°C to +85°C.
