Product Description:
The EL2602 is an output terminal which is manufactured by Beckhoff. The module operates effectively for industrial automation applications. The built-in system of this module enables user control of a valve position and its speed alongside torque monitoring functions.
The EL2602 Output Terminal is very lightweight (50g) which is ideal for compact, dense control cabinet installations. The smallest electrical load the output can reliably switch is 10 mA at 5 V DC. It has an electrical isolation of 500 V which suggests its internal communication bus is galvanically isolated from the output signals. Each output can handle resistive loads (like heaters) drawing up to 5 amps, which is substantial for a terminal module. The module meets electromagnetic compatibility standards which means it will not interfere with other electronics and can withstand industrial noise. The outputs are designed to handle a variety of loads such as from simple resistive devices to inductive motors or lightening. The module is plug-and-play which means no DIP switches or software config is needed which simplifies the setup. Its housing is small and includes status LEDs for each output which is useful for diagnostics. The terminal can safely switch up to 2 amps for inductive loads such as solenoids or motors.
The EL series module outputs are physical relays which provide galvanic isolation and handling higher power. It contributes 2 output bits in the control system logic such as PLC. It is suitable for dense DIN rail installations because it comes in size 12 mm x 100 mm x 68 mm. It is able to drive up to four 58W electronic ballasts. It does not support synchronized communication protocols like those in some high speed systems. It can be snapped together quickly and aligned precisely on a DIN rail without tools.
Frequently Asked Questions about EL2602:
Q: How does the 500 V electrical isolation benefit the Beckhoff EL2602 Output Terminal?
A: It protects the control system from field voltage disturbances. The EL2602 ensures safer operation by isolating communication and output sides.
Q: Why is a 5 A ohmic switching current important for the EL2602 Output Terminal?
A: It allows the EL2602 to reliably handle heavier resistive loads without frequent relay wear. This increases durability in high-demand industrial environments.
Q: What is the role of spring-actuated wiring in the Beckhoff EL2602 module?
A: Spring-actuated wiring ensures secure, vibration-resistant connections. It simplifies installation and maintenance without compromising connection reliability.
Q: How does a compact 12 mm width improve EL2602 installation in industrial systems?
A: The narrow design of the EL2602 allows more modules per DIN rail section. This saves space inside control cabinets for other components.
Q: Why does the EL2602 Output Terminal support pluggable wiring for ESxxxx terminals?
A: Pluggable wiring reduces installation time and wiring errors. It also allows quick module replacement without disconnecting fixed field wiring.
