The EL2032 EtherCAT terminal from Beckhoff performs the role of a terminal with digital outputs. The terminal seamlessly connects 24 VDC binary control signals from the automation system to the process level. The product incorporates two channels with LEDs to support its functioning. This device allows the connection of different types of loads. The unit's integrated diagnostics are evaluated by the related controller and it detects line breaks and short circuits in each channel. These terminal features reverse polarity protection.

The product's outputs are designed as short-circuit proof outputs. This device has no fixed installation position. The unit has distinct current consumption ratings for its power contacts and E-bus. It has no association with any distributed clocks. This terminal portrays its serial number on its housing or a sticker stuck on the housing. The product's slave information is stored in its ESI EEPROM. This device is designed as an interference-free terminal. The unit is installed in a control cabinet with at least an IP 54 protection class. Its power supply must have a 60 V output voltage limit when a fault occurs.

This EtherCAT terminal has separate LED sets to indicate its signals and errors. The product's output LEDs are in the off state when there is no output signal.
