Product Description:
The EL2014 EtherCAT terminal from Beckhoff is made for precise control in the automation of industries. The module works with EtherCAT bus systems and has four digital outlets that work with 24 V DC power. This terminal is made so that computers can send accurate binary signals to actuators.
The EL2014 EtherCAT terminal has four output channels, and each one can send up to 0.5 A. The outputs can handle ohmic, inductive, and lamp loads, and each channel has diagnostic LEDs that show when the temperature goes too high, a short circuit happens, or the power goes out. TwinCAT System Manager is used to set up the module, which gives a 4-bit output and 20-bit diagnostics in the process picture. Two separate electrical lines, each with 500 V, run from the E-bus to the field power. The terminal works with a standard voltage of 24 V DC and needs 60 mA of current through the E-bus and 15 mA plus load through the power contacts. The terminal is compliant with CE, UL, ATEX, and IECEx standards, and it can be put on a DIN rail measuring 35 millimeters. Additionally, it may be installed in a variety of ways.
The module can work in temperatures between 0°C and 55°C and can be stored in temperatures between -25°C and +85°C. All terminals can plug into this terminal, which can handle solid, stranded, and ferrule wires. Power contacts can handle up to 10 A of energy. The terminal has spring-cage connector blocks that make connections safe. When it comes to signal output and monitoring, the device is intended to operate reliably with a maximum output current of 0.5 A per channel.
