Product Description:

The EL2008-0000 is an EtherCAT terminal that is equipped with 8-channel digital outputs and functions to connect the binary control signals received from automation devices to the actuators at the process level while maintaining reliable electrical isolation. This product is unlike other EtherCAT terminals as it makes it possible for operators to connect different load types, including ohmic, inductive and lamp loads. It also provides reliable protection against short circuit damage and reverse polarity. The connection technology used on this product is the 1-wire connection; it also operates with a nominal voltage of approximately 24 volts. There are no distributed clocks on this product. During operation, the maximum output current provided by the terminal at each output is about 0.5 amperes. Also, the breaking energy per channel on this product is measured to be less than 150 millijoules.

The amount of current consumed at the E-bus present on the EL2008-0000 EtherCAT terminal is about 110 milliamperes. Also, the current consumed at the power contacts on the product is approximately 15 milliamperes. The typical switching-on time on the EL2008-0000 is about 60 microseconds, while the typical switching-off time is about 300 microseconds. The housing material on this product is made from polycarbonate, which provides reasonable mechanical strength and thermal stability.

The installation of the EL2008-0000 should be done on a 35 millimeters DIN rail that conforms to the EN 60715 with lock. The operating temperature around this product should be between -25 to about 60 degrees Celsius. Relative humidity around this product should exceed 95 per cent; also, there should be no condensation in and around the product. The total weight of the terminal is 55 grams.
