Product Description:
Beckhoff made the EL1862 Digital input EtherCAT terminal for use in industrial automation. Beckhoff is known for making I/O systems that are modular and work well with control structures. So, it can be used in places where space is limited, and a lot of channels need to be connected.
The 20-pin flat-ribbon cable connection of the EL1862 digital input EtherCAT terminal facilitates the wiring of multiple channels. The terminal can be switched between power and ground. When it comes to EN 61131-2, Type 3, every single input has the capability of accommodating a value of 24 V DC and a range that extends from -15% to +20%. The terminal receives approximately three milliamperes of energy on average. The addition of signal LEDs into the terminal's architecture allows for easier detection of its current condition. The number of physical input channels is equivalent to the bit width (16 inputs) in the process illustration. The wiring is composed of AWG28 flat-ribbon wires that are spaced at 1.27 mm.
The input terminal is protected by an IP20 rating and can work in temperatures from 0°C to +55°C. When the input filter is set to 3.0 ms, the signal from mechanical switches does not ricochet back and forth, and a high-quality signal is captured. The design form includes a small frame for the terminals, which contains signal LEDs indicating the channel condition. The EL1862 input terminal is stored in a plastic box measuring 12 mm wide, 100 mm tall, and 73 mm deep. Because of these specifications, it is an excellent solution for industrial automation projects that require reliable digital data collection and simplified wiring.
Frequently Asked Questions about EL1862:
