Product Description:
The Beckhoff EL1819-0000 is an input terminal for EtherCAT systems with 16 individual inputs of digital signals. This compact terminal is perfect for usage in applications requiring fast input signals with a nominal voltage of 24 V DC (ranges between -15 and +20% of the voltage). The device has a weight of 65 grams and incorporates direct plug in technology to ensure that its installation is easy and reduces the need for wiring.
Complying with EN 61131-2, this input terminal recognizes a ‘Low’ (“0”) signal represented between -3 and +5 volts in conjunction with a ‘High’ (“1”) signal between 11 and 30 volts, therefore, making it applicable for a variety of signal types. A standard 3 mA current flows through each input channel and an input filter with a time constant of 10 µs is also present to suppress any noise from the input signal.
The EL1819-0000 draws 100 mA current from the EtherCAT E bus enabling as well as drawing 4mA plus load from power contacts hence conserving energy within the network. This terminal also has certifications by CE, UL and ATEX evidencing its safety and suitability for many industrial applications.
