Beckhoff makes the EL1804 digital input terminal that is designed to work well with industrial automation systems because it turns control signals into data. The terminal is perfectly made, so it can easily handle binary signals. This makes it perfect for use in control systems that need to get accurate signals.

A 24 V DC base voltage can be used with the EL1804 digital input terminal as long as it stays between -15% and +20%. Each of the four input channels can handle a signal value between -3 and +5 V for a "0" state and between 11 and 30 V for a "1" state. The usual input current is 3 mA, and the reaction time is 3 ms. The digital input terminal can be used for tasks that require quick reaction. The terminal's enclosure is constructed from high-density plastic, which enhances its durability without affecting its size. The system is safe because it sends signals safely by separating the E-bus from the field potential by 500 V.

The compact EL1804 digital input terminal can be mounted safely on a 35 mm DIN rail in line with EN 60715 standards. The terminal is 12 mm wide and 100 mm tall. Solid and fine-stranded wire connections can be accommodated by the 16 connecting points on a 12 mm-diameter terminal block. The double slot and key connection allow for the secure placement of multiple units in close proximity.
