For use in complex industrial systems, the Beckhoff EL1114 EtherCAT Terminal is an effective automation tool.

It has four inputs and can function with both 2-wire and 3-wire connection methods. Since it meets EN 61131-2 requirements for categories 1 and 3, it may be utilized in control systems for industrial use. The terminal can tolerate a voltage range of -15% to +20% while operating at a nominal voltage of 24 V DC because of its smooth functioning in working conditions. To ensure it works with a variety of signal source types, the terminal takes "0" signal voltages between -3 and +5 V and "1" signals between 11 and 30 V. To achieve signal processing efficiency, the terminal uses 3 mA of input current under EN 61131-2, type 3 requirements. By removing high-frequency disturbances, the input filter purifies signal processing at the usual value of 10 µs. The EL1114 is ideally suited for time-sensitive industrial applications because it can process signals quickly, with a reaction time of less than 10 ms.

The E-bus operates at a current consumption rate of 90 mA to properly control power usage.
