The Beckhoff EL1084 supplies precise and stable EtherCAT terminal power, including input monitoring for industrial control systems.
Despite its primary digital input terminal role, the technical data shows voltage regulator elements revealing embedded components that assist power management. The EL1084 delivers 5A of output power while letting users set the voltage range between 1.25V and 36V. Due to its 1.3V dropout voltage rating of 5A, this component effectively controls power input that gets close to power output. The device operates effectively with power supplies delivering up to 30 volts across numerous industrial applications. The terminal regulates voltage precisely under all operating conditions with a typical 1.25V reference point and performance of 0.015%/V in line regulation paired with 0.1% load regulation. The EL1084 stabilizes electrical power output reliably thanks to its 75 dB ripple rejection and 10 mA low quiescent current performance.
The terminal equipment features built-in protection mechanisms to limit current flow and shut down if the temperature gets too high to protect modules and connected devices from harm. Engineers can easily install this product through-hole locations and use its 3-pin setup for quick hardware connections. By using 4-bit status bits in each input signal, the model informs the control system about its functionality.
