Product Description:

The EL1012 Beckhoff EtherCAT terminal works like a digital input terminal. This terminal receives 24 V control signals in binary form from the process level. The product transmits the signals to an automation system of a higher level in an electrically isolated form. This device is used with capacitive or inductive sensors. The unit shows minimal delay, thanks to its high-speed 10 us input filter. Its dual channel LEDs provide clear status indication. This terminal comprises two inputs that can be controlled simultaneously based on its ambient temperature.

The product is environment-friendly with no negative impact on the surrounding environment. This device might portray unfavorable consequences if it is not used properly. The unit comprises an input filter with a typical delay time of 10 us. It has a typical 90 mA current consumption through the E-bus. This terminal is integrated with a safety feature. The product relies on an EtherCAT state machine to control the EtherCAT slave state. This device has a CoE interface. The unit's slave controller comprises a distributed clock that represents a local clock. Its contacts must not be directly touched as this can cause an electrostatic discharge.

This EtherCAT terminal is fitted to the fieldbus coupler on its right side. The product-related spring plus power contacts are joined together to realize its electrical connection. This device's protective earth contact can ground short circuit currents of up to 125 A. The unit's technical data must be taken into consideration when the operation phase is on. Its orange lugs must be pulled away from the mounting rail by nearly 1 cm as the first step towards its installation on the mounting rail.
