The CX9020-0111-0900 is an embedded PC manufactured by Beckhoff and positioned in the CX Embedded PC Systems series. As a DIN-rail-mounted controller, it merges PLC logic and communication tasks in one compact unit intended for machine and plant automation. By hosting the TwinCAT control environment directly on the device, it eliminates the need for a separate panel PC while still exposing fieldbus terminals through the E-bus or K-bus interface.

Computing resources are provided by an Arm Cortex-A8, 1 GHz processor that relies on a single core to execute the TwinCAT 2 PLC runtime. The CPU is coupled with 1 GB DDR3 RAM, so user programs and process data can reside in volatile memory without paging. A 128 kB NovRAM safeguards retentive variables across power cycles, while two microSD slots provide removable mass storage for recipe or log files.
