The CX9020-0110-1005 is an embedded PC module manufactured by Beckhoff for the CX Embedded PC Systems series. Mounted on a DIN rail, it consolidates control, communication, and visualization tasks so that a single device can coordinate fieldbus networks, drive groups, and local HMI panels within an automation cell. By integrating processor, memory, and standard interfaces, it functions as the central logic element that replaces separate PLC, gateway, and industrial PC hardware.
Processing power comes from an i.MX535 Cortex-A8 running at 1 GHz, and its single-core design supports deterministic cycle times while limiting thermal output. A 1 GB DDR3-RAM module stores the operating system and user program during operation. Network traffic is handled by 2 × RJ45 10/100 Mbit/s ports, allowing machine and plant segments to be isolated or daisy-chained. The unit includes 4 × USB 2.0 sockets, so service tools or barcode readers can draw up to 500 mA each without external hubs.
