CX9010-N031 is a Beckhoff interface module. It has two interfaces that support RS-422 and RS-485. This module is an option for CX9000/9010 Ethernet controllers and can be connected to the controllers in the field. Power for the CX9010 is supplied via the internal bus. Maximum transmission rate of the two interfaces on the module is 115 kbaud. Physical interface on the module is D-sub with a 9-pin socket. Dimensions of the interface module are 19 x 100 x 51 millimeters. The module weight is approximately 95 grams. The recommended temperature for module operation is 0 to 55 degrees Celsius and the temperature for module storage is -25 to 85 degrees Celsius. Relative humidity near the operating module should not exceed 95% and condensation is not permitted.
Protection class of the CX9010-N031 interface module is IP20. For vibration and shock resistance the module conforms to EN 60068-2-6 and for EMC immunity it conforms to EN 61000-6-2. Other optional modules are also available for CX9000/CX9010 Ethernet controllers. The CX9010-A001 extension module provides an interface for use of CF storage cards. This is the only module that can be upgraded in the field. Flash cards must only be inserted in this module when its power is switched off.
