Product Description:
The CX9000-N000 from Beckhoff brand combines its CX Embedded PC Systems module functions of control and communication into a single small unit. Real-time automation instructions run faster owing to the 266-MHz clock rate Intel® IXP420 processor with XScale® Technology. The PC’s boot code and firmware storage occurs within 16 MByte of built-in flash memory which can be increased to 32 MByte. The internal RAM of the system 64 MByte can be increased to 128 MByte to support advanced direct running control applications on the module.
This embedded industrial computer exhibits a maximum power loss of 6W including CX9000-xxxx system interfaces which minimizes heat output and lowers cooling requirements. Its housing measures 59 mm × 100 mm × 91 mm which conserves DIN-rail space in crowded control cabinets. The unit weighs approximately 250 g which eases handling during mounting and service. It further operates reliably from 0 °C to +50 °C and also tolerates storage temperatures between -25 °C and 85 °C. This computing device meets IP 20 protection class to prevents access to live electrical parts and limits dust ingress. It provides 2 × RJ45 interfaces with an internal 10/100 MBit switch which simplifies network topology without extra hardware.
The module displays status via diagnostics LEDs comprising one for power, two for LAN, one for link/activity and one for flash access which let you verify system health at a glance. An internal battery-backed clock for time and date which preserves correct timestamps through power interruptions. It runs Microsoft Windows CE which supports proven embedded application frameworks. The PC executes TwinCAT-CE-PLC-Runtime or TwinCAT-CE-NC-PTP-Runtime. The CX9000-N000 accepts a 24 VDC power supply within –15%/+20% tolerance. A built-in 128 kByte NOVRAM secures critical parameters which prevents data loss during unexpected shutdowns. This model also offers 2 × USB 2.0 interfaces as well.
