The CX8110 Embedded PC is a compact and lightweight device designed for control applications. The unit includes essential communication interfaces and supports passive cooling. It runs Windows Embedded Compact 7.

The Beckhoff CX8110 embedded PC is powered by a single core Arm® Cortex®-A9 processor. It integrates a 1-second UPS with 1 MB memory on the microSD card. It is equipped with 512 MB of DDR3 SDRAM that operates at a standard frequency of 1600 MHz which is soldered onto the mainboard and therefore not user expandable. The PC includes a microSD card slot supporting up to 32 GB capacity for external storage with a 512 MB Class 4 microSD card pre installed. It supports EtherCAT protocol and functions as a slave device. The system is powered by 24 V DC with a tolerance of – 15 % to + 20 %. The typical power consumption is 4 W with a maximum of 9 W during UPS charging. For E-bus or K-bus communication, it allows up to 10 W (5 V/max. 2 A). Passive cooling in the PC ensures silent and efficient thermal management. The embedded PC includes diagnostic LEDs for TC status, EC Run and EC Error.

The CX8110 embedded PC has dielectric strength rated at 500 V between supply and internal electronics. The clock is maintained by an internal RTC with a battery that can be replaced. The device is pre installed with Microsoft Windows Embedded Compact 7 and is compatible with TwinCAT 3 software though licenses are not included. It measures 71 mm in width, 100 mm in height and 73 mm in depth. The unit weighs 230 g that makes it ideal for space constrained installations.
