The CX5200-0060 is produced by Beckhoff as part of the CX Embedded PC Systems series. In an automation cell, it operates as the main control node, running PLC logic, communicating with field devices, and driving local I/O slices through its integrated backplane. By combining CPU, power supply, and communication ports in a slim housing, the unit lets machine builders replace a traditional IPC and separate controller with one DIN-rail module, reducing panel depth and wiring density.

It fits into compact spaces with overall dimensions of 142 x 100 x 92 mm. The electronics are energized by a 24 V DC supply that is internally fused and monitored. Upstream networks connect through 2 x RJ45, 10/100/1000 Mbit/s LAN ports, while service equipment attaches through 4 x USB 3.0, 900 mA ports. An IP20 housing limits use to clean control cabinets. Program and recipe data reside on CFast and microSD cards, and the terminal bus can source 2 A to field sensors.
