The Beckhoff CX5200-0060 Embedded PC is a very sturdy model that is developed for use in industrial automation applications. This PC uses an Intel Atom®-X series processor (Apollo Lake) as its CPU with optional dual or quad cores.
It has 4 or 8 GB DDR4 RAM which helps in the running of complicated applications and processes. The PC has a PC/PCI industrial-grade CFast card slot, which allows easy and fast swapping of cards on the site. This feature increases the flexibility of the PC and also improves the ease with which the PC can be maintained. The CX5200-0060 operating systems include Windows 10 IoT Enterprise (2019 and 2021 LTSC) and TwinCAT/BSD. Among the features of this PC lies the built-in 1-second capacitive UPS, which helps save critical data in case of a power failure and allows the user to save up to 1 MB of data during an emergency. Sturdiness can be attributed to the two Gigabit Ethernet ports that also support EtherCAT master or redundancy, and four USB 3.0 ports for transferring data and attaching other peripherals. The PC has a DVI-D communication interface for display purposes, which makes it ideal to be coupled with HMIs. Expanding the possibilities it provides additional modules for the Ethernet, USB, and serial interfaces, as well as more fieldbus options including the PROFIBUS and CAN. It can function normally in the environmental temperature of -25°C to +60°C and it can work in the environment with 95% relative humidity and without condensation.
