Beckhoff has created an embedded PC specifically for usage in industrial systems, and it is the CX5140-0155. The company is known for making reliable automation and control systems that work well with a wide range of automation designs. 

The CX5140-0155 embedded PC is equipped with a 4 GB DDR3 RAM that is non-expandable and a 1.91 GHz Intel Atom E3845 quad-core CPU. It is equipped with four USB 2.0 Type A interfaces, each of which can supply up to 500 mA, two Gigabit Ethernet ports with RJ45 connectors, and a DVI-I video output that can accommodate resolutions of up to 1920x1200. A microSD card slot, along with a CFast card port, is available for storage. The CFast card includes 1 MB of memory and a built-in 1-second UPS. The PC is compatible with a variety of operating systems, including TwinCAT/BSD. This PC is also capable of operating control software known as Twin CAT 2 PLC Runtime and Twin CAT 3 Runtime (XAR). The average power consumption of the system is 16 watts, and it operates on a 24 V DC power source. The graphics system operates at a base clock of 542 MHz and a maximum peak frequency of 792 MHz, with 256 MB of shared memory. It is compatible with both OpenGL 4.0 and DirectX 11.

The CX5140-0155 embedded PC has diagnostic LEDs for power, TC status, Flash access, and bus status. It satisfies the requirements of EN 60068-2-6 for resistance to swaying and EN 60068-2-27 for resistance to shock.
