The CX5140-0110 is a compact industrial PC unit built by Beckhoff Automation for sophisticated production and processing systems. This unit controller features a four-core Intel Atom processor that is able to process multiple complex operation tasks simultaneously. The processor also operates with a clock rate of about 1.91 gigahertz. The CX5140-0110 PC unit is a IP20 device that requires indoor installation and protection against any foreign interference with an external diameter larger than 12 millimeters, it also carries several authorizations including the DNV, CE, UL, and GL authorization. There are two independent Ethernet interfaces present on this controller; these interfaces are gigabit capable and can handle data exchange at a rate of 1000 megabits per second. Other connection interfaces on this unit include the DVI and the four USB 2.0 interface.
The CX5140-0110 operates at a very low risk of overheating, although it does not feature any internal air blower, heat is passively dissipated through its front panel. The control software of this product is the Twin CAT runtime software; this software can be used for the easy parameterization of this product.
