The CX5130-0125-3001 embedded PC is produced by Beckhoff as part of the CX Embedded PC Systems series. It serves as a DIN-rail mounted control platform that merges PLC, motion, and visualization tasks for machine-level automation. Designed for decentralized cabinets, the device operates as the central processing node that executes TwinCAT software and exchanges real-time data with field I/O modules.

At the core of the controller is an Intel Atom E3827 processor running at 1.75 GHz; its architecture offers 2 physical cores, allowing separate control and HMI threads without task interference. System performance is supported by 4 GB DDR3 RAM, while nonvolatile data can be stored on the CFast or MicroSD interfaces provided by the dual flash storage slots. Graphics output shares 256 MB of system memory, which is enough for typical embedded visualization screens. Four USB 2.0 ports permit attachment of service panels or data loggers, and two Gigabit-capable RJ45 sockets enable segmentation of machine and enterprise networks.
