The CX5130-0123 is a high performance Embedded PC from the range of Beckhoff's CX Series capable of performing complicated automation tasks. It has an Intel Atom E3827 processor with 1.75 GHz and having 2 cores, which can perform multitasking and processes data at a much faster rate. A model in this category comes with a slot for both CFast and microSD cards, though these storage cards are usually not included, which allows for flexibility in solutions of storage. It comes with 4 GB DDR3 RAM, which is not expandable, so this guarantees stable and reliable performance.
It comes with an integrated 1-second UPS, with 1 MB of storage on the CFast card ensuring full data integrity in case the main source of power fails abrupt. Connectivity is so strong with double 2 x RJ45 Ethernet ports supporting 10/100/1000 Mbit/s, 1 x DVI-I for display connections, and 4 x USB 2.0 for external peripherals. There is also an 1 x optional interface with a passively cooled system that keeps this device quiet and energy-efficient. Diagnostics of the system contain LEDs for power, TwinCAT status, flash access, and bus status - so system health can be checked quickly. The internal battery-backed clock ensures that time and date will remain correct, but the battery can also be replaced.
