The CX5120-0122 is a fanless industrial automation embedded PC system for mini casing and multifarious connectivity. Two RJ-45 Ethernet ports supporting 10/100/1000 Mbit/s are provided, which can provide secure networking to provide high-speed data transfer. It can support EtherCAT slave function and integrate with fieldbus infrastructures without any interruption to provide synchronous communication between devices.
It can be used to connect peripheral modules, storage media, or input devices for four USB 2.0 ports. The onboard 24-pin multi-terminal supplies the minimum interfaces of digital I/O, battery backup, and power supply and enables centralized wiring in control cabinets. Power consumption is typically 11 W, which is advantageous to efficient energy consumption in embedded systems. The module is constructed to support a temperature of -25 °C through +60 °C, where it offers steady operation in low and high operating industrial environments. Its total mass of 950 g ensures mounting of heavy duty on DIN rail. The CX5120-0122 hardware design accommodates fault-tolerant operation within decentralized control systems because it represents a processing node and communications within decentralized automation networks.
