Beckhoff developed the CX5010-1125,which is an Embedded Industrial PC for use in precise control and automation in manufacturing businesses. Embedded with an Intel Atom® Z510 processor, it works at a clock frequency of 1.1 GHz with a single core for the efficient execution of fundamental control tasks. Beckhoff's incorporation of Windows Embedded Standard 2009 as the operating system along with Twin CAT 3 runtime software which allows this unit to be optimized for instant control applications and facilitate easy interaction with diverse PLC and motion control systems.

This computing device has 512 MB of non-expandable RAM which is sufficient for several automation tasks. It also has a 128 MB Compact Flash card for storage that can be further upgraded for complex projects if necessary. The industrial PC has many interfaces including two RJ45 ports for 10/100/1000 Mbit/s Ethernet, four USB 2.0 connectors and a DVI-D port for display connectivity with an optional interface for improved connection.
