The CX5010-0111-1001 is a compact in size, fully featured, and much scalable Embedded PC from Beckhoff's CX Series, powered by an Intel Atom Z510 processor running at 1.1 GHz. It comes with an arithmetical path on [[1 core]]. It offers a slot for a Compact Flash card. For any additional storage, it allows expansion up to 128 MB of flash memory. The 512 MB RAM is not expandable and is built-in -good for performance, provides reliable performance for any industrial automation task.
This model features an integrated 1-second UPS with 1 MB on the Compact Flash card, in case of power loss; ensures protection of the files. It has various connectivity interfaces such as up to 2 x RJ45 Ethernet ports, which support up to 10/100/1000 Mbit/s, and there's 1 x DVI-D for its display out, and then peripheral connectivity is through 4 x USB 2.0 ports. There is also an 1 x optional interface that provides extra functionalities. The CX5010-0111-1001 passively cooled that makes it efficient and silent. The diagnostic system has LEDs that indicate power status, TwinCAT status, flash access, and bus status and are vital for providing the system with feedback. It is fitted with an internal battery-backed clock to preserve the time and date information. This is with the provision to replace the battery.
