Product Description:
The Beckhoff CX5000-0111 Embedded PC is designed for use in the industrial environment and has several characteristics that guarantee optimum performance and communication. The unit is driven by an Intel Atom® Z530 processor with a 1.6 GHz frequency, geared towards energy efficiency, yet providing stable performance.
The system has a RAM of 512MB with an option of upgrading to 1GB which makes it to accomplish multiple automation tasks efficiently. Storage is provided in the form of a 128MB compact flash card but this can be expanded with larger CF cards when data storage requirement increases. It supports various operating systems such as Windows Embedded CE 6 or Windows Embedded Standard 2009 for broad application development and deployment. It runs on TwinCAT 2 and TwinCAT 3 control software where it can act as a PLC and/or motion control with or without HMI. The CX5000-0111 has a good connectivity package with two Gigabit Ethernet ports to enable fast data transfer EtherCAT for controlling and communication, and four USB 2.0 ports for other peripherals. It also has a DVI-D interface for the connection of the monitor, and it supports both Beckhoff Control Panels and other standard displays. An optional interface slot is available to accommodate further configuration with RS232, RS422 / RS485, or other fieldbus methods such as PROFIBUS & CANopen. The device is powered via a 24 V DC power input with efficient energy consumption at a maximum of 13 W.
