Product Description:
Beckhoff CX Series is a line of Embedded PC that features the CX2900-0028 and it is an industrial computer built to withstand several harsh environments and conditions.
It uses the Intel Atom® multi-core processor which offers excellent performance. This model also features support for various operating systems such as Windows CE, Windows Embedded Standard, and Microsoft Windows 10 IoT Enterprise for use where it is most needed in industries. Features such as Direct I/O connection for EtherCAT and Bus Terminals enable the swift connection to current configurations. The device has been designed to be resilient and can be used in environments rated to EN 60068-2-6 and EN 60068-2-27 standards for shock and vibrations, and the operating temperature range of the device is -25°C to +60°C. It also supports storage temperatures ranging from -40 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius. The memory configurations of the PC can be adjusted according to different computing requirements and some models of the PC have a power consumption of 18W only. One of the strengths of the design is that it has environmental resilience as it can withstand up to 95% humidity without developing condensation.
The PC has rugged characteristics but still comes with a small size with a weight of between 975g to 1095g and dimensions of approximately 142mm x 100mm x 92mm to enable it to fit in small spaces. It has an IP20 rating for protection against solid objects meets various EMC immunity and emission standards, and is CE, UL, and DNV GL certified for quality and safety. The PC also has expansion possibilities through PCI Express slots for additional features and comes with a fan that has speed control and a capacitive 1-second UPS built-in to protect against power outages and improve its suitability for industrial use. This product is covered by a one-year warranty from Wake Industrial.
