The CX2100-0904 is a plug-in power supply module produced by Beckhoff for the CX Embedded PC Systems series. It converts the control supply into the regulated internal levels required by the CPU and I/O infrastructure, allowing a CX controller stack to be powered from the same cabinet supply that feeds other automation devices. With dimensions of 118 × 100 × 91 mm and a weight of 1025 g, the module fits on the DIN rail beside the base CPU and slides into the backplane power connector without additional wiring. This placement keeps the embedded PC compact while protecting against accidental contact with internal conductors.

The module accepts an incoming supply of 24 V DC and provides a maximum output of 45 W, which is enough to energize the CPU, fieldbus interface, and several terminal rows. Internal dissipation is limited to 3.5 W, so the module adds little heat to a packed control cabinet. A dielectric strength of 500 V isolates primary and secondary circuits, protecting downstream logic from transient spikes.
