Beckhoff’s CX2100-0040 is a compact power supply unit, designed for use with Embedded PC systems based on the CX series.
Tailored for the power requirements of the industrial control environment, this module provides reliable power to the Embedded PC as well as the daisy-chained I/O terminals. Capable of operating at an input voltage of between 24 V DC (18 to 30 V DC), the CX2100-0040 brings forth a powerful power supply of 10 A, and therefore, it is ideal to supply a challenging control system. One of its major features is that it integrates a 5V output for internal supply to Bus Terminals through K-bus, providing up to 2A, which is critical for uninterrupted communication and control between modules. The power consumption of the unit is also usually quite low when there is no load, only 2.5 W, which confirms its energy-saving design. Its fanless, convection cooling method increases dependability because there is less mechanical friction and no dust buildup, which is critical in confined cabinets for control.
