Product Description:
The CX2062-0175 is an embedded PC manufactured by Beckhoff within the CX Embedded PC Systems series. This DIN-rail-mountable unit consolidates PLC control, HMI tasks, and fieldbus communication inside one housing so that a machine can use a single edge controller instead of separate devices. In automated lines, the PC executes logic, motion, and data logging directly in the cabinet, linking sensors and drives with supervisory networks through its integrated Ethernet interfaces.
The platform uses an Intel Xeon D-1548 processor that runs at 2.0 GHz across 8 cores, giving deterministic real-time performance for TwinCAT 3 Runtime (XAR). System responsiveness is supported by 8 GB DDR4 RAM, while a nonvolatile memory block retains persistent variables during power loss. The graphics output is handled by an AMD E8860 GPU, which drives local displays when the PC is used as an HMI panel. Networking is carried over two RJ45 ports that negotiate at 10/100/1000 Mbit/s, enabling simultaneous fieldbus and IT traffic. Four SuperSpeed USB host ports allow peripheral expansion for devices such as vision cameras, removable storage, keyboards, and other service accessories.
Electrical characteristics match cabinet environments powered from a 24 V DC bus with a tolerance of -15% to +20%, and peak demand stays below 103 W even when all interfaces are active. Internal circuitry withstands 500 V dielectric tests between power and ground, which supports reliable isolation in control cabinets. The aluminum housing measures 204 × 99 × 91 mm and weighs 1650 g, leaving space for I/O terminals on the same DIN rail. Passive convection through the finned side walls keeps the processor and graphics hardware within their operating range, while the front panel keeps the 4 × USB 3.0 ports easy to access for service media or keyboard connections.
