The CX2043-0175 is an embedded PC manufactured by Beckhoff within the CX Embedded PC Systems series. In an automation cell, this unit serves as the central controller by combining PLC logic, motion coordination, and user interface handling in one compact housing. It is intended to run Beckhoff’s TwinCAT 3 Runtime (XAR), so deterministic control tasks and Windows-based visualization can execute on the same hardware without separate supervisory computers.

At the core of the system is an AMD Ryzen V1807B 3.35 GHz processor that offers 4 cores for multitasking real-time and background threads. The aluminum housing measures 144 × 99 × 91 mm, allowing DIN-rail mounting inside shallow cabinets. Electrical input is specified at 24 V DC (-15 %/+20 %). Internal conversion supports a maximum power draw of 70 W, so sizing of control-cabinet supplies is straightforward. The dielectric strength of 500 V separates input power from logic circuits, while a 2 A I/O terminal supply feeds adjacent EtherCAT slice assemblies.
